Progress report

I have just been reading one of my previous posts about how I wanted to keep going with the whole fitness thing after the marathon.

Well I can report good news!

I am still running on a regular basis. My average run distance is about 4 miles and the longer runs at the moment will be for about an hour which is 7 or 8 miles.

I have been going to a golf biomechanics circuit session at the gym which I think has made a big difference. Firstly I found out that my pelvis had an anterior tilt so the stretches that would help me would be quad and hip flexor stretches. I was always under the impression that I had tight hamstrings so the main focus of my stretching previously was on those. It never seemed to make any difference though and now I guess it’s because my quads and hip flexors were making them tight!

I have entered the ballot for next years London Marathon (after saying never again) and also have got a couple more half marathons in the diary for later in the year.

I have given myself a pat on the back 🙂

Next challenge is 99 holes in a day at 4 venues in 4 different counties….a flipping golf marathon!!!!!
