Testimonials

Neal has been my golf coach for the last few months and I’ve seen dramatic changes in my golf swing, consistency, scores and overall enjoyment from my game. Before lessons with Neal I actually (wrongly) thought I was quite a solid high-teens handicapper with just a few unexpected bad shots – which typically went massively left and cost me up to 10 shots a round. The difficulty I had was knowing how to recognise and fix that bad shot as at the time all shots felt the same but came out differently. Since the lessons (I’ve had 3 now and an initial assessment) my understanding of golf and the various factors impacting my swing and ball flight has improved massively and those wayward shots are now very rare and, more importantly, I now know why bad shots happen, which allows me to work on them in the range and get rid of the poor stuff.

When I first went to Neal I was scoring anywhere between 16 and 23 over par. Using all the knowledge picked up over the 3 hours with Neal, I am now very comfortably scoring 12 or 13 over par – this is due to my new swing which I find very repetitive, comfortable and consistent. He changed quite a lot (inc grip, stance, weight distribution, coil instead of swaying and impact through the ball) which was tough to begin with but with practice became the norm. I’m really looking forward to the short game coaching sessions and putting – two areas that leak shots/points for me at the moment.

Would I recommend Neal? Absolutely! I already have to friends and family. Aside from the improvements to my game (which I am super happy and surprised with) I really look forward to the sessions. Neal has a way of explaining his methods that really resonates with me, he is often able to describe the ideal shot by comparing it to other sporting motions and day-to-day movements. It helps me forget about the golf and just focus on a movement then put the two together. The technology devices used are fantastic too and gives you an idea of what your swing actually looks like, which is great to see and a bit of a shock at first. After every session I receive videos and stats of the full hour and areas to go away and work on.

Biggest tip to anyone new lessons; make sure to carve out an hour or more to practice what you’ve been shown by Neal as close to the lesson as possible. I typically revisit the range the following day whilst everything is still fresh and work my way through 100 balls, typically with 2 or 3 practice swing to each shot. If I get confused with something I just take a quick video of what’s going on and send it over to Neal to assess – he then reviews and very quickly replies with tips. David Goddard- June 2018

The slight change we made to my swing a few weeks ago is working wonders with my game and I managed to successfully defend the Club Champs at Calcot over the weekend. Gill Cain- November 2009

Golf tuition with Neal has enabled me to work on all aspects of my game, from swing, posture and mentality. Neal has a keen eye that enables him to spot the smallest of areas for improvements. Through this, my overall game has improved. A vast range of exercises and techniques are utilised to correct shortfalls in my golfing form, which has allowed me to progress my golfing hobby at a good pace since starting a year ago. Dylen Francis – Jul 2017

Great 4 week course. Very informative and helpful. Neal was a very good coach and helped me significantly with my technique. Mehul Patel – July 2017

Neal is an excellent coach.  From the outset he was very responsive to my initial enquiry and subsequent emails and from the first lesson onwards has provided excellent tuition.  He has brought my handicap down and has got my playing with confidence in my strokes finally.  His use of the Trackman and video has helped adapt my swing to provide more consistent play. Guy Robson – 2017

Neal is a great coach who has both helped with my understanding of the golf swing and improved my scoring on the course! I’ve always found it very easy to get my questions across to him, which are always met with easy to understand answers. The lessons are followed up with video analysis and summary, which I find is a big help when practicing at the range. I would be very happy to recommend Neal as a coach to anyone, and look forward to continuing my golfing education with him! My golfing journey started with Neal almost 10 years ago, unfortunately for Neal I am very focused on succeeding and being great at every challenge I undertake, so I know I’ve never been easy to coach – during my relationship with Neal as my coach I have had lows but more importantly more highs with my golf game improving and becoming more and more consistent, I’ve had a great time with Neal as I have enjoyed a range of differing classes from putting, shortgame, long game and the brain training aspect of golf, I have found Neal very patient and supportive, even on one occasion when I was so frustrated during a playing lesson that I actually walked off the course, Neal called me the next day and got me back and we corrected my golfing challenge, in my job I move all over the country but due to my trust in Neal I always visit him 3/4 times a year, I’d also add that Neal’s coaching has also developed my decision making off the course and has made me a more patient and calculated person – the only thing missing now is the student/ coach challenge across 18 holes, so Neal when you’re ready……I thank you for making my golfing goals achievable – here’s to the next 10 years! This was a very useful Masterclass. Having never had a putting lesson before, there was much technique to learn. It improved my confidence and now, with practice, it will help to reduce those wasteful added shots on each round. Philip Case’s Comments on Putting Masterclass- February 03 2010
