I have used kettlebells over the winter to help with my golf fitness. They are brilliant for improving strength and stability. A lot of the movements you make with the kettlebell compliment the movement you need to improve in a golf swing.
I have decided to get a kettlebell so that I can use it at home. I use it at the moment when I get up in the morning and when I get home at night. It is ideal if you don’t have the time to get to the gym and after ten minutes with a ketllebell you’ll be sweating nicely!
I played today and the swing felt more stable. Does it help you hit the ball further? Well I bombed one 350 yards down our 26th hole at Sandford! Sadly though it hasn’t help my putting.
At the moment I use the “Turkish get-up” and one handed and two handed swings. I also use the kettlebell with squats.
I have got a 12kg kettlebell.
Search “kettlebell” on youtube and you will see what all the fuss is about.
