Simple exercise for more distance

“I want to hit the ball further” is something I hear all the time from people who come to see me for help with their game.

Hitting the ball from the centre of the club face with a path through the ball that allows the club face to be stable are key to hitting good distance. Club head speed is the other prerequisite to distance.

Most golfers are really looking for the easy option. We are all aware that hard work can pay off but if offered a short cut I think most of us will give it a try!

So, if you want to add some yards to your drives then try this simple exercise:

Don’t try this if you are injured or have back problems.

Try to repeat this exercise little and often to start with. It will strengthen your lower body and improve your ability to rotate.

Do this exercise regularly and in a few weeks you may be hitting one less club into the greens.
